Here are some procedures to be aware of before you visit:
Face Masks Optional
As of March 1, 2022 and in keeping with the lifting of mandatory masking restrictions previously put in place by all levels of government, mask-wearing is now optional at OPRF Museum.
Staff, volunteers, and visitors are welcome to continue to wear masks as they see fit based on their own health and their comfort level in public spaces. Hand sanitizing materials will be provided at the door, and we encourage everyone to wash and/or sanitize hands upon entering and leaving the museum. We continue to encourage visitors and volunteers to spread out throughout the museum and for anyone who is feeling ill to visit us another day.
Lots to explore at OPRF Museum
Enjoy the many stories we have on display in our galleries, including the last few months of our exhibit “Open House: The Legacy of Fair Housing” and “Tarzan, Mars, and the Literary Worlds of Oak Park and River Forest.” And don't miss our latest exhibits “First Girls: Trailblazing Girl Scouts in 1920s Oak Park and River Forest,” "From Tintypes to JPGs: A Brief History of Photographic Prints," and our many frequently-changing displays throughout the museum. The museum is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.
Using the Research Center
