Description

The Des Plaines River is a prominent feature of River Forest and surrounding communities. Speaker John Elliott, a retired forest preserve naturalist, board member of the Chicago Audubon Society, and volunteer with the Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest, will survey the geography and political ideals that created the forest preserves along the river. This program will feature the stories of some of the interesting people who helped shape the preserves.

This program is included with the price of museum admission. Members are always free.
