This evening will include a gallery talk with Dr. Sarah Doherty, Historical Society Board Member and Professor of History at North Park University, on the women's chapter of the Ku Klux Klan that formed in Oak Park in the 1920s. Learn more about this dark and largely unknown chapter of Oak Park's history.

Sarah Doherty is a longtime resident of Oak Park and earned her doctorate degree in Public History from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Doherty wrote her dissertation "Aliens Found In Waiting" using the records of Oak Park's chapter of the Women's Ku Klux Klan.

This event is included with the price of museum admission; members are always free.
