West Side Stories: Architecture and People that Shaped River Forest

Take a stroll with us through scenic, historic River Forest! This walk up Edgewood Place and then south on Thatcher Avenue will demonstrate why these two streets are a living outdoor museum of architecture and village history.  Hear fascinating and surprising stories about people who lived here, some of the renowned architects who created these remarkable homes, and the drastic changes that some of these houses have seen.

The tour begins at the northeast corner of Edgewood Place and Lake Street at 2 p.m. sharp. Because of health concerns in our current environment, this tour will be limited to no more than 10 people and face masks will be required. Please bring your own water if needed. Group tours on other dates may be booked by special arrangement. Contact the Museum for more information. No refunds will be given for reservations cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the event.
