On Tuesday, October 22 Kinslahger Brewing Company in Oak Park will host another edition of their Barside Chat series. This evening will feature OPRF Museum Executive Director Frank Lipo, who will chat about Oak Park River Forest history with an emphasis on the impact of Oak Park's fair housing laws.
Have a beer and discuss the story of how our community grappled with race before the 1960s and how the 1968 Fair Housing Ordinance sparked changes which still shape our villages today. Expanded discussion to include your questions about all things Oak Park/River Forest history.
Tickets are $5 and include the price of your first beer or house-made soda.
