Join the fun on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 6 - 8 p.m. when local mixologist and cocktail historian Dave Hudson brings his drink-making skills to the museum during Dry January. Hudson is a Forest Park resident who got hooked on making both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks during Covid.
Hudson will be making various mocktails for you to enjoy. Not only will he create some great-tasting beverages, he will share the enticing story behind each drink. During his presentation, he will focus on fun ways to keep your non-alcoholic beverages and juice concoctions interesting without alcohol. Whether you choose a mocktail for health, safety, religious, or personal reasons, his presentation offers inspiration for enjoying a night out (or in).
Seating is limited for this members-only event. We will start taking reservations in late November/early December. Details and reservation information will be sent via email to our membership.
The history of mocktails dates back to the 1800s and Prohibition. In 1865, zero-proof drinks were first listed on dining menus. Mocktails have significantly grown in popularity in recent years.
Please RSVP by emailing oprfhistorymatters@sbcglobal.net or calling 708-848-6755.
