Description
Just 20 years after the tragedy of the Great Chicago Fire, the city had been rebuilt and was ready to host the world during the Columbian Exposition, celebrating the 400th anniversary of the "discovery" of America. But not everyone was there to have fun.
On Thursday, June 29, our History Book Club, led by writer, teacher, and librarian Doug Deuchler, will discuss The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson, a true tale of the 1893 World's Fair and the serial killer who used the fair's magic and majesty to lure his victims.
