Inside OPRF Museum: Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories
Date
March 31, 2023 - 11:00:am — 11:30:am
Description

Oak Park River Forest Museum invites you to experience our collection and exhibits virtually on "Inside OPRF Museum," Friday, March 31 at 11 a.m. (CT).

In keeping with the 2023 theme for Women's History Month, OPRF Museum volunteers Barb Etchingham and Mary Ann Porucznik will share the stories of women's -- and girls' -- clubs in our villages. Learn about the local Pollyanna Club, which flourished in the early 1900s as young women brought the "Glad Game" to their lives and communities. Find out about the number of "Federated" women's clubs that existed in the villages of Oak Park and River Forest throughout much of the Twentieth Century. And see what the OPRF Museum has in its archives that tell these stories.

This event is free and will last around 30 minutes. Contact us on our website and tell us you would like to attend the live program via Zoom.

And view past episodes of "Inside OPRF Museum" on our YouTube channel.
