Oak Park River Forest Museum is adding evening hours to allow the whole community some extra chances to visit us. Visit us from 7pm to 8:30pm, and see how we glow at night!
This evening we will feature a gallery talk by Executive Director Frank Lipo, discussing World War I artifacts recently donated to the museum. Hear the story of Elmer Bischoff, who grew up steps from our museum, served as head bugler in his company in World War I, and was killed in action in France. See the scrapbook he filled during his service as well as his very own cornet.
Evening hours are scheduled for the first Wednesday night of each month. Remember that our regular hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
