Description

As the outdoor running season winds down, OPRF Museum will share stories and experiences of local runners. Whether you're a veteran or just starting out, come and share your story!

The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest is hosting a program on the history of running in Oak Park and River Forest. This panel discussion will feature a wide range of perspectives and experiences on what running in this community has meant to you. Your story may be about one memorable run or something much broader about how running has impacted your life.

In addition to hearing personal stories about running written by and shared by local runners, the program will feature a small exhibit of local running artifacts, many generously donated by longtime runner and coach Paul Oppenheim of Oak Park Runners Club. If you have artifacts you would like us to consider for the exhibit, please let us know that as well!

Regular admission rates will apply ($5 residents/ $7 nonresidents/ $3 students/ members free).
