Join us for The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest's 30th Annual "Tale of the Tombstones" Cemetery Walk.
This year, all guides and visitors will be required to wear masks or face coverings and maintain social distancing throughout the tour. Tours will depart from the cemetery's main gate in 10-minute intervals between 12 and 1:30 p.m., and the tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. Each group is limited to no more than 20 people.
Tickets are no longer available for this year's tour. Advanced registration is required, and those who have not registered in advance and confirmed with us via email or phone will be turned away.
In the event of a last minute cancellation, we may contact you about tickets. Share your contact information with us on our website if you would like to be put on the waiting list for this year.
This event is subject to changes in public health guidelines and in weather. We will update information here if we need to modify the event.
Even if you cannot attend this year's walk, you can purchase a copy of the Historical Society's book, "Nature's Choicest Spot," highlighting the history and many of the famous folks laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery.
