Description

See local figureheads come to life and learn about how their lives relate to local history at the Cemetery Walk. This year’s walk starts at noon with groups departing until 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18.

In keeping with the nation’s 250th anniversary, the theme of this year’s 35th annual Cemetery Walk is “American Movements.” Whether it’s a literal move that brought someone from the other side of the country to the area, or a civic-minded movement that changed society, you’ll hear about it as our actors bring the dearly departed to life and tell their stories.

Visitors will be led through this historic and beautiful cemetery by trained guides who will point out impressive monuments, mysterious symbols, and burial traditions that span 150 years.  At intervals throughout the walk, actors will bring to life famous, obscure and infamous people who have left their mark on our community and the wider world.

Tours will depart from the cemetery's main gate in 10-minute intervals between 12 and 1:30 p.m., and the tour will last approximately 1.5 hours.

Tickets can be purchased in our online store and should be purchased in advance-- those who have not registered in advance may be turned away.
